Seugnet (owner/teacher) graduated from UCT School of Dance with a Dance Teacher’s Diploma in 2009 and has broad experience in teaching both ballet and contemporary to a wide range of age groups, from youngsters to adults. She has performed with Darkroom Contemporary and dances professionally for various corporate companies. She qualified as an Ashtanga yoga teacher with Jim Harrington in 2016. Seugnet is passionate about mind and body connection and her mission in life is to help people find that connection.
Joy Millar completed her Performer’s Certificate in Dance at the UCT School of Dance while performing as an ad-hoc dancer with Cape Town City Ballet. In 2006 Joy lived and worked in Lisbon as a member of Companhia de Danca de Lisboa, a contemporary dance company. She returned to UCT in 2007 to study for a degree in English, Media and Writing and Drama, which she completed in 2009, while simultaneously freelancing with Cape Town City Ballet, becoming a permanent member of Cape Town City Ballet in 2010. Joy is currently living and working in Cape Town as a free-lance creative, specialising in writing, choreography, teaching and dancing
Shirley-Anne is a South African dancer and choreographer, with a range of experience and versatility in both fields.Although contemporary dance is her main area of expertise she has training and experience in various genre’s such as Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Physical Theater, and Musical Theater. Her interest in choreography began while studying ALevel Dance and a BTEC in Performing arts in England before moving back to South Africa where she accepted a place at the University of Cape Town School of Dance. In 2013 she completed her degree with a Distinction in choreography and continues to dance and teach in Cape Town, though her main focus is starting her own contemporary company.
Debbie Calder graduated from UCT School of Dance with a Bachelor of Music (Dance) majoring in Classical Ballet and Dance Teaching Methodology (with distinction). She danced briefly with Cape Town City Ballet while still teaching in 2014, thereafter moving on to teach full-time. She has taught ballet and contemporary dance to adults and children across the Cape Peninsula for various teachers and at numerous schools. She continues to work as a freelance teacher and choreographer for adults and children of various ages.
